Split squat with the front foot elevated on a 6" step, holding the deep bottom position (full hamstring to calf) for time, back knee bent and relaxed.
Elevating the front foot lets you drop into much deeper knee and ankle flexion than a normal split squat. This trains the deepest position your ankle and knee hit in a ski boot, absorbing a hard compression or holding a low tuck. Weak capacity in that deep range is a big reason skiers get pushed backseat when terrain gets steep or bumpy, they physically can't flex forward enough to stay stacked.

Skiing is a one leg sport, and if one leg produces more power than the other, that weaker side is where you tire first, where your technique breaks down, and where injuries tend to happen.
